New Materials, New Possibilities
A Little Experiment, A New Beginning.
For my ongoing “Abstract Beyond Boundary” series, I recently ordered some new art materials.
This wasn't simply about restocking supplies. It was more of an exploration — an opportunity to discover which materials would best complement the direction and vision of my project.

Five different modeling pastes, along with several new paints.
Each one has its own texture, character, and way of interacting with color. I don't yet know exactly how they will respond or how they might find their place in my work. That's why I want to experiment with each of them — applying, mixing, layering, and discovering the possibilities they hold.
Through this process, I've also found myself wanting to explore color mixing more freely and take a few new creative risks with texture and typography.
Initially, these materials were chosen for a specific purpose: to help me develop and create my art series.
But as I began experimenting with them, something unexpected happened.
I started noticing how different and unique each one was. Some revealed beautiful, unexpected colors, while others created textures that sparked entirely new ideas. Each material seemed to have its own personality and its own kind of beauty.
Although these are still early experiments, and every step feels like a new creative challenge, I find each of them incredibly special.
And somehow, I don't want them to remain just practice materials for my series.
They may have originally come into my studio to serve a particular project, but now I feel inspired to give each of them a new identity and a life of its own.
Perhaps some unexpected pieces will emerge from this process — works that are entirely different from what I originally imagined.
To move beyond their original purpose, discover their individual character, and allow them to become something new.
Maybe this experiment is not only about finding the right materials, but also about giving new life to possibilities that have yet to be discovered.
A new story begins with a small experiment.
Now, it's time to explore, experiment, and document where these little discoveries will take me.
