About, Lena Lee
Water media painter
Lena has been creating art all of her life. In her childhood years, her parents joked that she would grab a brush or a crayon rather than a fork or a spoon. During her teenage time, she picked fine arts painting as her area of study in specialized art middle school, high school in South Korea and later at an arts college in the United States.

Through her studies of different disciplines in art schools, she explored different types of artistic expressions and media, such as drawing, sculpturing, printmaking, Korean traditional ink painting, and acrylic and oil painting. During her years in art middle school and high school, she focused on watercolor paintings most. During her years in an arts college, she also worked on improving her techniques in acrylic painting, however, after she graduated, Lena returned back to her passion of watercolor painting. She feels out of all the different media, she loves watercolor the most because, to her, watercolor painting captures the beauty of transparencies of colors, brought out by light.
